The Core Values are the Club's DNA, and as a Bergenfield United Player and Parent it is important that the core values are appreciated, acknowledged, and lastly respected. Outlined below is BUSC Code of Conduct.
- Player & Parent shall show respect and positive support for coaches, officials, and all spectators prior to, during, and after the games. Parent will ensure that my/our child behaves in a sportsmanlike manner.
- Player & Parent will demonstrate respect and support for all Bergenfield United and opposing team players prior to, during, and after the game.
- Player & Parent will be mindful of the need for player development over the need to win
- Player & Parent will insist my/our child play in a safe and healthy environment.
- Player & Parent will be always mindful of my/our role, which is to provide support, and not openly instruct during the game nor openly interpret the rules.
- Player & Parent will abide by the rulings of the officials, coaches, league, and Bergenfield United Soccer Club (hereinafter BUSC) administrators during and after the game. Any concerns will be sent via email to [email protected].
- Player & Parent will demand and demonstrate a healthy sports environment by refraining from drug, alcohol, and tobacco use during all sporting events.
- Player & Parent also understand that photographs and images of players and spectators may be used on BUSC website and/or for advertising and submit to their use willingly and without reservation. Children will not be identified by name without express permission of the parents.
- Should the club receive fines based upon parental conduct, the team be required to pay those fines.
- In the case of misconduct, the family will receive a warning in writing. A second incident will result in the player being suspended for one game. A third incident may result in suspension at the Club’s discretion.
- Player & Parent, hereby give my/our approval for his/her participation in all BUSC activities. Player & Parent assume all risks and hazards incidental to such, including participation and including transportation to and from activities and do hereby waive, release, absolve, indemnify and agree to hold harmless the BUSC, the Township of Bergenfield, the organizers, sponsors, supervisors, participants, and persons transporting, coaching, or refereeing my/our child for activities relating to the BUSC and for any claim arising out of injury to my/our child, whether the result of negligence or any other cause. Player & Parent agree to obey and abide by all rules of BUSC and understand corrective action may be taken if rules are not obeyed.
- Player & Parent have read and understand the BUSC Player and Parental Code of Conduct and am aware of the TCSA Sanctions regarding enforcement thereof.
- Player & Parent pledge to follow the Code and BUSC policy regarding acceptable parental/player behavior.
- Player & Parent will accept and support BUSC sanctions imposed to foster a sportsmanlike atmosphere.

BUSC is committed to maintaining a healthy environment within its sanctioned activities and competitions, as well protect our coaching and board staff from unprofessional misconduct. Any violation of this BUSC Player& Parent Conduct Policy may subject the individual(s) to disciplinary action deemed by the BUSC Board. BUSC prohibits retaliation against individuals making good faith reports of misconduct, including potential violations of this Conduct Policy by Covered player and parents.
